In 2020 Amos retired from corporate America after 30 years. Graduating from CU Boulder with a Degree in Civil Engineering, Amos started his career as a Flood Control Engineer in Riverside, California. After three years in engineering and an MBA from KU, he switched gears to finance and spent the remainder of his career in the telecommunications industry with various positions culminating in CFO of Layer 3TV, a Denver-based startup that he successfully helped sell to T-Mobile. After two years at T-Mobile, he took the opportunity to retire and start his real estate career.
Amos started investing in real estate when he purchased his first rental home in University Hills back in 2004 as a pseudo 529 college education plan for his kids then 7, 6, and 2. In 2015, Amos met Mike Hills at Atlas who introduced him to multifamily investment. And the rest is history!
Amos currently owns 23 doors in Colorado ranging from single-family to 6-unit apartments and is looking to expand into Arizona. Thanks to those rental investments his three kid’s college educations have all been paid in full.
Amos wants to help others cover the cost of their kid’s education and/or achieve financial freedom through real estate investing. It has worked for him and he is passionate about helping it will work for others.
Outside the office, Amos enjoys spending time with his wife and three grown children. He volunteers his time as Treasurer of Adaptive Spirit, a networking organization in the Telecommunications Industry that has raised and donated over $10 Million to the US Paralympic Ski and Snowboard team. He can often be found playing tennis, mountain biking, skiing or if the weather is good, out on a golf course.
